Adult Protective Services is a State-mandated program which investigates potential elder and dependent adult abuse and provides information and assistance, linkage with local resources to support elder and dependent adults within the community. APS is a voluntary program focused on the health and safety.
The In-Home Supportive Services Program is a statewide program administered by each county providing those with limited income who are over the age of 65, blind or disabled with in-home services to help them remain home safely. IHSS is considered an alternative to out of home care. 
The Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Project is a Cal-OES funded grant which partners Adult Protective Services with the District Attorney’s Victim Witness Program to enhance the safety of elder and dependent adult crime victims by providing direct services to victims, as well as implementing an outreach and awareness campaign regarding abuse, neglect and exploitation

We provide educational programs using researched and evidence-based curriculum to support the school readiness of children birth to five and their families.  We have 23 preschool classrooms from El Dorado Hills to South Lake Tahoe.
Our Head Start Preschool center-base and visiting programs are for children 3 years of age to 5 years.
Our Early Head Start Home-visiting services are for infant and toddlers birth to 3 years of age.  We also serve pregnant mothers.
Both in Head Start and Early Head Start, Enrollment priorities given to Homeless, Foster, at-risk, and low income children based on federal poverty guidelines, CPS referrals TANF etc.  We provide comprehensive services that supports the Health, Nutrition, Mental Health, Family Engagement and children’s disabilities.
Our State Preschool programs are for children 3 to 5 years of age and also use research/evidence based curriculum.
