LIFE SKILLS

At Green Valley Community Church we know that life isn't really as random as it sometimes seems. We understand the importance of equipping people with the tools and skills they need to help them through all that life has to offer—the good times as well as the bad. That’s why we are devoted to offering a diverse program of classes and support groups to residents of El Dorado County.

This year, most classes are free with your only cost being the price of the book. We've provided Amazon links below, but you can purchase or borrow the books anywhere! Classes with cost will provide the book/class materials for you. Please register for classes with registration links so instructor will know how many people to expect. Looking forward to seeing you!

Breathe

Breathe

With a jam-packed life, what's missing is space - - space for God to speak, room for you to hear. It's time for us to set aside activities and busyness that swallows up rest and peace. It's time for us to breathe. If peace and contentment can't be found by getting better organized and more regimented with our time, then where can we find it? There is a solution, and it's found tucked away in the well-worn pages of your Bible. In this class we will take a new look at an age old principle . . . the Sabbath. Join us for this 10-week study by Priscilla Shirer. Refuse to go on with life as usual. Breathe! (For women only)

Sermon on the Mount

Sermon on the Mount

In His sweeping depiction of kingdom citizenship, Jesus utters some of the most familiar passages in all of Scripture. Most of us have only encountered the Sermon on the Mount in fragments. But what if we navigated these three chapters in Matthew as they were originally heard: as one cohesive, well-ordered message intended to challenge us to think differently about what it means to be a follower of Jesus? In this 10 week class (videos by Jen Wilkin) we will be challenged to approach these passages with a "God-centered" perspective seeking to engage our heart, our soul and mind as we more fully experience the character of God. (For women only)

Whether you want to pray for others, are in need of personal prayer or want to share a praise for answered prayer, join us whenever you can. No need to register. For women only.
